The Darkwells of the Frostbore Peaks begin to erupt with water, a phenomenon that continues for over a decade. This floods much of the Inhabitable Lands. Many regions are set beneath the waves, and many regions that were once connected are now isolated from each other by an unnaturally cold body of water.

Timphiliax’s End
The great dragon Timphiliax is slain by the human Barbanus the Slayer. With his dying breath, Timphiliax poisons the Verdant Dragonfields, which will later become the desert known as The Forsaken Expanse. This event leads to the Generations’ War between humans and elves.

Here Be Dragons
The first dragons are summoned to Selerim by elves of the Inhabitable Lands, who soon come to worship them as gods.

Far from the world of Selerim, the dark god Tharizdun is sundered by an unlikely alliance of the Discordant and Ordered Gods. His physical form is chained, while his spiritual strength is fragmented into 6 distinct shards.

Selvetarm, Banished
Triumphant at last, The Seldarine banish Selvetarm to The Abyss, while his surviving followers flee beyond sight, into the depths of the world. Before departing, the elf gods restore parts of the scarred world and bequeath the Living Reams to Selvetarm’s former slaves—a diverse multitude, stolen from countless worlds. This gift, recompense for their brutal captivity at the hands of The Seldarine’s fallen kin, marks the dawn of a new age in Selerim’s history.

The lifeless husk of a planet on the far rim of the galaxy is settled by a group of Astral Drow led by Selvetarm, Champion of Lolth. In secret, Selvetarm plans to spend a millennium raising an army to invade other worlds and ultimately overthrow The Seldarine, the Elvish pantheon of deities.

The Sundering of Elves
The unity of the elvish peoples is ended. Corellon and Lolth separate, as do their respective deific followers, The Seldarine and The Dark Seldarine. In time, this societal fracture gives rise to the elves and the dark elves, now known as drow.
