Adventure Premise
- Bobby Dismorphia, Borfield’s most eligible bachelor, has finally found romance… by way of an arranged marriage his father drew up at his birth 22 years ago.
- The marriage contract stipulates that Bobby shall marry his childhood friend Blotta Balmer in the summer of his 22nd year, should he go that long without finding a more suitable bride. If you disregard the bride’s 2,500 gold dowry (which Bobby is now on the hook for), he truly could have done so much worse.
- Hoary Boulder, Bobby’s older friend, has worked out all the details of Bobby’s Bachelor Birthday Bender. He insists that the finer details of the event remain a surprise, but he has provided travel funds to get each of you to The Spicy Meatball, a restaurant he partly owns in the great port city of Scrimshaw.
- You might not owe Bobby a gods’ damned thing. Hells, you might even hate his guts, but you certainly won’t miss out on an open bar and free passage to the greatest city east of Nova Jersaeria!
Outcomes
- After most of the boys were poisoned through a drawn-out a drinking game at The Spicy Meatball, Cousin Gane Shillis arrived and delivered a decidedly mediocre stand-up show in which he roasted multiple demon lords, including Pazuzu.
- The boys did some classic Borfield chew-offs. Oddly, Gane’s chew-off included the image of a crude iron flask engraved with demonic script. Gane was very troubled by this, but Bobby and the boys assured him that nothing bad could happen during the bachelor party.
- Hoary surprised Bobby by renting out the “‘Tween Worlds Tavern”, from his gnome friend Bopus. The tavern, floating on the silvery Astral Sea, included many amenities like planar portals and multiple kegs of pumpkin turpentine IPA.
- Deep into their drunken slumber, Bobby and Bingus heard a booming voice shout “YOU ARE MINE” from Cousin Gane’s room, but they both decided it wasn’t worth losing any sleep over.
- In the morning (at noon), Squeembo realized that Gane was missing his breakfast eggs. In Gane’s room, the boys found an empty keg of pumpkin turpentine IPA and Gane’s equally empty body. From the demonic script tattooed on his neck, it was clear that his soul had been taken by the demon lord Pazuzu.
- The boys ventured through an unstable gnomish portal into Pazunia, first layer of the Infinite Abyss. There, they battled against the dastardly Hellknight Chauncy, who was attempting to escape the infernal planes.
- Uncle Bobson cleverly entangled Chauncy in vines, and the boys beat the Hellknight until his infernal body turned to sulfurous ash.
- The Avatar of Pazuzu, arising from a deep canyon, told the boys that he truly enjoyed watching their brutal contest with Chauncy.
- The boys halfheartedly parlayed with the demon lord. All the boys (including Gane’s father Bobson) agreed that they just needed Gane to finish out the bachelor party weekend, but that they wouldn’t mind Gane’s soul being stuck in service to Pazuzu for eternity. They did concede that they would like the option to have him on weekends.
- Pazuzu returned Gane’s soul to the boys for the rest of the bachelor party, and the boys agreed that Pazuzu would keep Gane’s soul until they are able to complete his quest. They must retrieve his very first friend, which was lost to him in the Feywild—he calls this friend “Labubu”.
- The boys and Gane returned to the ‘Tween Worlds Tavern and partied for the remainder of the weekend. Cousin Gane was almost able to forget that his soul would soon return to Pazunia for eternity.
